Coming Events presented or sponsored by Natural Systems Solutions.

Please note that Natural Systems Solutions, a project of Attraction Retreat, is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. We host these events partially because an informed and aware citizenry is necessary for democracy to work, because being involved in one's community is necessary for optimal health and sanity, and following the model Nature provides if we just pay attention is the best way to achieve these goals. While some of these events have a cost associated with them, many of them are free or have a suggested donation amount. We simply ask that if you can afford to donate, which can be either money or time, toward keeping AR and its projects such as Natural Systems Solutions and Campaign For Our Lives available and functional, that you thoughtfully consider doing so. Our donors and volunteers are appreciated more than there are words for.

Part 1: "If a path to the better there be, it begins with a full look at the worst." Thomas Hardy
Part 2: “To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete." Bucky Fuller

What a Way to Go: Life at the End of Empire has been described as "...nothing less than a 123-minute cat scan of the planet and its twenty-first century human and non-human condition." For Part 1, come prepared to be intellectually and emotionally poked and prodded. Examine the state of the world today from an environmental and social perspective. Connect the dots. For Part 2, experience the Open Question process and discover possibilities for a new, relocalized future. Engage in planning to manifest the potential.

The facilitators for this workshop are Dave and Allison Ewoldt. Please be advised that pre-registration is required, and there is a limited enrollment. The format is experiential and interactive, using small group dynamics to facilitate healthy relationships at all scales. We cover how we got to where we're at, how to deal with it, and how to create effective personal, social, and environmental responses to create a sustainable culture of peace that is ecologically wise and socially just. Write to Allison at allison@reststop.net for a complete description of this workshop and a registration form, or call her at 520-887-2502

The strong emotions that so many of us are feeling in the presence of the huge crises we are facing as a society and that so many of us are facing in our personal lives are important messages. They are trying to get our attention. They can either paralyze us, or they can be transformed into positive action.

This workshop blends the work of Joanna Macy, Michael Cohen, and Riane Eisler into a beautiful tapestry of empowerment, hope, inspiration, connection, and action. Reconnecting with nature and relocalizing our communities provides the means by which we can more fully come into our selves.
